Risk Disclosure

Trading cryptocurrency and tokenized stocks — manually or through algorithms — involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for every investor. Before using Radiant, take the time to understand how each strategy behaves, what its historical drawdowns look like, and how it fits into your overall financial picture.

This page is a plain-language summary of the most important risk factors associated with automated trading of crypto and tokenized equities on our platform. It is not exhaustive and does not replace independent financial advice. If you are unsure whether algorithmic trading is appropriate for your situation, consult a qualified advisor before allocating capital.

Key risks to understand

Drawdowns are normal

Every quantitative strategy goes through losing periods. Drawdowns can last days, weeks, or in some market regimes, several months. The historical maximum drawdown shown for each algorithm is an estimate based on past data — actual drawdowns in live trading may exceed historical figures.

A common mistake is to disable a strategy at the bottom of a drawdown, locking in losses just before recovery. Systematic trading works precisely because it survives these periods without emotional intervention. If a strategy's drawdown profile is uncomfortable for you, choose one with a lower risk level — do not override the system mid-cycle.

No financial advice

Radiant provides software, infrastructure, and execution tools for automated trading. We do not provide personalized financial, tax, or legal advice. Strategy selection, capital allocation, leverage, and the decision to start or stop trading are entirely your responsibility.

Performance metrics displayed on the platform — including expected returns, win rates, and historical equity curves — are illustrative. They are derived from backtested or forward-tested data and do not represent guaranteed future performance.

Not an adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary

Radiant is a software platform. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, custodian, exchange, or fiduciary in any jurisdiction. We do not solicit, manage, or hold client funds, and we do not collect suitability information required to produce individualized investment advice.

Every algorithm, signal, portfolio, and analytical output on the platform is published uniformly to all users with access to that product. Nothing displayed on Radiant is tailored to your personal financial situation and nothing should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.

AI output disclosure

Parts of the platform — including market briefs, daily pulse summaries, symbol spotlights, and certain strategy components — use machine learning models, large language models, and automated analytical systems. By using these features you acknowledge that AI-generated output is probabilistic, non-deterministic, and may be incomplete, biased, outdated, or factually incorrect.

AI content on Radiant is not a research report, investment recommendation, factual forecast, or suitability assessment. Models may hallucinate, misinterpret data, or produce results that conflict with current market reality. We do not human-curate every output and we do not guarantee that AI analysis reflects current market conditions at the time you read it.

You must independently verify any information before acting on it. Trading decisions made on the basis of AI output are taken at your sole discretion and risk.

Backtested and hypothetical performance

Performance figures shown on algorithm and portfolio pages — including equity curves, win rates, average returns, expected monthly performance, and maximum drawdown — may include backtested, simulated, or hypothetical results. Hypothetical performance has inherent limitations. It is generated with the benefit of hindsight, does not involve real capital at risk, and does not reflect real-world factors such as exchange fees, funding rates, slippage, liquidity constraints, latency, partial fills, or the psychological pressure of trading live.

Forward-tested and live-traded results reflect actual orders routed by the platform under specific configurations and time periods. They are not guarantees that the same strategy will produce comparable results in the future. Market regimes change, correlations break, and any strategy can underperform its historical profile.

Exchanges, third-party data, and execution

Order execution, custody of assets, margin and liquidation logic, available trading pairs, fees, funding rates, spreads, and compliance rules are controlled entirely by the exchange you connect. Radiant routes orders to the exchange via the API keys you provide but does not control how those orders are filled, priced, or settled.

Market data, price feeds, on-chain signals, news, and other third-party inputs displayed on the platform are sourced from external providers and AI systems. We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or continuous availability of any third-party data.

Non-reliance

All analytical output produced by Radiant — including algorithm signals, portfolio allocations, market briefs, pulse summaries, symbol spotlights, dashboards, charts, and any AI-generated commentary — is informational, educational, and algorithmically derived without human curation, suitability analysis, or personalized review.

You must not rely on Radiant output as the sole basis for any financial decision. Independently verify all information and consult a qualified, licensed professional before acting.

Practical guidelines

Never invest more than you can afford to lose. Start conservatively, diversify across multiple strategies where appropriate, and review your total exposure regularly so it matches your real risk tolerance.
